Proposal to install screens in St Bart's

St Bart's has benefitted from a projector and display screen for some time.  The existing projector screen is mounted on the 'rood screen' which separates the nave from the chancel.  Use of the projector allows us to present the order of service, including readings, hymns and notices, visually which both helps with worship and reduces the requirement to print paper service sheets.

We want to install an additional electronic (TV-style) display screen on the pillar on the other side of the nave, because the existing single screen is difficult to see from some parts of the church.  It will also 'future proof' us to some extent against failure of the existing projector which would be costly to replace.  This installation will make use of the cable connections installed in the nave during the refitting of the church interior which was carried out in 2014 and will not require structural alterations of any kind to the fabric of the church.

This page is included here as part of the Public Consultation phase of the application to carry out this work, which will run until 26/June/2025.  Full details are given on the Church of England 'Online Faculty System' at this link, and the relevant Support Document describing the project in detail is also available in St Bart's on the notice board.

If you would like more information on this proposal please email the Parish Office at office@wilmslowparish.co.uk.  A formal objection may be registered with The Diocesan Registrar for Chester Diocese - contact details may be found on the Online Faculty System.
